About the KCB

The Kearsarge Community Band ("KCB") is a non-profit community organization that includes musicians from throughout the Kearsarge and Upper Valley area.  The band was founded in 1991 by Army Colonel John Baum.  New London has a long history of brass bands dating back to 1839.  Read More...

The KCB has several different types of ensembles - for different types of musical experiences.  Sometimes the full Symphonic Band is nice, with all the brass, woodwinds, and percussion!  But sometimes a smaller ensemble is needed, like a Brass Quintet or Clarinet Choir!  All of our ensembles are available to book for private events.

The Symphonic Band is the full KCB ensemble featuring woodwinds, brass, and percussion.

The repertoire includes classic and contemporary works for wind ensembles.

The Brass Quintet is a subset of KCB musicians that includes two trumpets, french horn, trombone, and tuba.

The repertoire includes classical and modern pieces, as well as a little jazz.
